Recall Knowledge

Recall Knowledge (Panel 1) Concentration, Secret [Image: One Action icon] Recall Knowledge costs one Action. You use Recall Knowledge to see if you can remember information about a topic. (You may need to work with your GM to narrow down a question or choose a skill.) The GM rolls a Secret Check with the chosen skill. Critical Success: The GM answers the question truthfully and may give either another piece of information or answer a follow-up question. Success: The GM answers the question truthfully. Failure: You do not remember any information on the topic. Critical Failure: You misremember information and the GM gives you false information, or you do not remember any information on the topic at all. Recall Knowledge can be used multiple times until a failed roll or there is no more information. The DC for that topic becomes higher after every use. Concentration, Secret

When using Recall Knowledge to Identify Magic or Learn a Spell, you must be at least trained in the magic tradition’s related skill.

Lore skills are used when you need to know specialized information on a very narrow topic. They are often related to your profession, where you live, or something you study.

You can use Lore to Recall Knowledge even if you are untrained.

You can use Recall Knowledge to identify and learn more about creatures. You gain the following in addition to the answer to your question when identifying creatures.

Critical Success: You learn what the creature is, one of its best known traits, and a second more subtle trait.

Success: You learn what the creature is and one of its best known traits.
